We run regular Modern Jive sessions in Hemel Hempstead and Hatfield.

On Mondays - Boxmoor Beat is at the Boxmoor Playhouse, 72 St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1NP.

On Thursdays - Comet Jive is at Club de Havilland, St Albans Road West, Hatfield, AL10 9EU.

At both venues the doors open at 8 pm and admission is £6.

Modern Jive is a great partner dance that's easy to learn and fun to do. It's a wonderful way of socialising and keeping fit. You can come along and join us any night without booking. You don't need any special experience and you don't need to bring a partner. Whether you're a beginner or a regular dancer, we're sure you'll enjoy the friendly club atmosphere at Boxmoor Beat and Comet Jive.

Friday 3 July - Friday Party Night at Comet. At Club de Havilland, Hatfield, from 8pm. This is instead of our usual Thursday opening. (We will be closed Thursday 2 July and Thursday 9 July because of University exams). Admission is just £6 and we are open till 11:30pm. 

Saturday 4 July - Jiving At The Queens

Our Jiving At The Queens freestyle is the place to be on a Saturday night. It's Independence Day, so there's a special American theme. It's a chance for everyone to dress up and be a bit mad. Use your imagination and wow us with your ideas.

To add to the fun we have a fantastic cabaret lined up for you. The dancers from Swing Attack will perform their amazing high energy Lindy Hop and Charleston routine.  

Don't miss the chill-out at 10.30 pm with free tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits. Everyone enjoyed it at our last event in May.

Tickets are available now. It's only £7 in advance or £8 on the day. Why pay more? The hall is easy to find at Adeyfield Community Centre, The Queens Square, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4EW, and there's plenty of free parking.
