About the club
If you haven't tried Modern Jive yet Modern Jive is easy to learn and fun to do. It's a partner dance that looks extremely stylish and can be danced almost anywhere. We play all types of music from current club hits to the classics of Rock & Roll and Swing. There's no need to bring a partner. In the lessons we change partners every few minutes. Before long you get to meet everyone. You don't need any special dance experience. Anyone can learn and our members are always ready to help and encourage you. It's a great way to socialise and keep fit. If you're a regular Modern Jive dancer Our aim at Boxmoor Beat is to create a club atmosphere where people who enjoy dancing can meet and have fun. The club is run by dancers for dancers. The emphasis is on social dancing, so the lessons are kept quite brief, leaving plenty of time for freestyle. There are good sized wooden floors at both of our venues and each has a licensed bar. Our DJs have searched the globe for the best in dance music. We are constantly updating our selection and welcome suggestions from members. Come and join us. You're sure of a friendly welcome.

Boxmoor
Beat was set up in 2001 by a group of enthusiasts who wanted somewhere
to dance with their friends. Since then the number of members has
steadily increased and the club now runs two regular weekly venues
as well as occasional special events with live bands.  |
