FRIDAY FREESTYLE BAND NIGHT

Boxmoor Beat invites all club members to the De Havilland Sports & Social Club, in Hatfield, on Friday 11 June 2004 to jive the night away to live music provided by the Earl Jackson Band. There are still a few tickets left, so don't leave it any longer. Get your tickets tonight!

The Earl Jackson Band is a well known rock and roll band, extremely popular with modern jive dancers all over the country. They will play two sets during the evening, between which there will be dance music from our Boxmoor DJs.

The De Havilland Sports & Social Club is a super venue with a bar, fantastic dance floor and plenty of parking spaces. By holding the event in this larger venue we will avoid the disappointment experienced by some last year, when we held the event at the Boxmoor Playhouse, and tickets sold out so quickly. Secondly, there is no sound limiter at the De Havilland club, so we will not have any unnecessary interruptions to the sound.

WEYMOUTH PARTY WEEKENDER

5 - 8 NOVEMBER 2004

We are already planning the next BB dance enthusiasts' weekend away in Warmwell, Dorset. There will be lots of fun dance classes to choose from, live bands playing both afternoon and evening, professional dance teachers, and also the Boxmoor 'Blues' party which kicks off after the dancing finishes on Saturday night / Sunday morning.

If you are interested in joining us, ask one of the crew for more information and prices. Club members that have already put their names down now need to pay a £20 deposit by the 7th June to secure the chalet accommodation. Without a deposit we will not be able to hold the booking.

CHANGE OF VENUE

The Boxmoor Playhouse will be unavailable for three weeks from the 14 June, however we will continue to hold our weekly classes close by at the Parish Centre in St Johns Road.

The Parish Centre has a great dance floor, but as it doesn't have a bar we suggest you bring in your own alcoholic drinks, and once the recap lesson finishes, you can relax and socialise in the comfort of the 'bar' area, away from the main hall.
