JIVE MEETS SWING

Friday Freestyle 12th September

Come and join us for an evening of freestyle dancing to both Jive and Swing music. There will be a Swing Dance taster lesson given by Joseph and Tricia Sewell who run Swingville. This is also your opportunity to see members of Boxmoor Beat perform a cabaret number with the Swingvillains. This event is for everyone, regardless of dance experience.Tickets are £5 only.

'WOODSTOCK' Charity Night

Monday 3rd November

It's hard to believe but Boxmoor Beat will soon be 2 years old! To celebrate our anniversary we are organizing a themed dance night to be held at the Boxmoor Playhouse. Come and dance to the music from Woodstock dressed in your 60s hippie gear. (Check out www.woodstock69.com for ideas) All proceeds will be donated to charity. Members are invited to nominate a local charity to benefit from this event. Nominations should be given to one of the team as soon as possible.

MODERN JIVE WORKSHOP

We will be running a Beginners Workshop on Sunday 12th October in Hemel Hempstead. The workshop will take place from 1.30pm to 5.30pm and cost £20 per person. Attending a 4 hour workshop gives you the opportunity to learn new moves, improve your technique, pick up style tips and is a great confidence booster. Workshops are also good fun and enable you to get to know other members. So if you haven't put your name down yet, now's the time to do it! Ask for more information at the desk.
