There are no bars at these venues but we will have soft drinks on sale. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own.

Bank Holiday Beach Party

This could be your last opportunity to put on those shorts, shades, sarongs and sun tan lotion this summer!

Dress for an evening on the beach and join us on the 26th August for a hot and colourful beach party at the Apsley Community Centre.

We'll be presenting a prize to the person wearing the best beach outfit! You might like to bring the cocktails.

If you let us know which tunes bring back memories of special holiday moments we'll do our best to play them for you.

Modern Jive Workshops

Names are being taken for beginners and intermediate workshops. We aim to run these on Sunday afternoons mid to end September depending on the availability of a venue. Cost will be around £20 per workshop dependent on numbers.

Attending a 4 hour workshop gives you the opportunity to learn new moves, improve your technique, pick up style tips and is a great confidence booster. Workshops are also good fun and enable you to get to know other members. So if you haven't put your name down yet, now's the time to do it!

Good dancers need good shoes - and the place to get them is here on Monday 5th August! David and Annalisa Martin of 'Boogiesteps.com' will be at the Boxmoor Playhouse with their extensive range of men's and women's dance footwear from Bloch, Gamba and Katz. These are good quality shoes that will make a real difference to your dancing. Don't miss this opportunity to buy your shoes!

Party Weekenders

All the accommodation that we booked at Warmwell for November 2002 has now been filled.

If there is sufficient demand we will try and book another chalet but you must let us know quickly before the weekend becomes fully booked.

Dance Music

The DJ is always happy to take requests for music that you like to dance to. Members are also welcome to bring in CDs of their own favorite dance tracks for us to play.
